Answers:
How long in advance do we need to schedule the webcast?
A: A minimum of one week is optimal, but for special events such as funerals, we can make special arrangements on short notice.
Can we restrict who is able to view the webcast only to invited guests?
A: Yes. You can require your viewers to enter a username/password to view the live webcast or the saved recording. You can do this for privacy reasons, or to charge customers for viewing the webcast, etc.
Can we charge customers to view a webcast?
A: Yes, we can set up a "Shopping Cart" online purchase page, where a customer can be required to pay by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc., to get a username and password to view the webcast.
How can I arrange to have my event webcast?
A: Please
contact us. We can provide a list of videographers and event planners in your area who work with our service, or if you already have a videographer or event planner, we can work with them. Alternatively, if you are interested in using our webcasting service on a regular basis, we can discuss a subscription plan that gives you the equipment and opportunity to conduct the webcasts yourself at your own schedule.
We would like to show the webcast on our own website. Is that possible?
A: Yes. We can modify your website for you, or send you the code for you or your webmaster to include on your webpage.
What kind of player is required to view the webcast? Is it dangerous or difficult to install?
A: We have chosen to use the Microsoft Media Player, simply because it is the most widely installed and used media player on most computers. If you have an MS Windows PC and use MS Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher as your web browser, you should already be able to view the webcast without installing anything else. If you use the Firefox or Opera browsers, or use a Mac or Linux computer, you may have to install a standard plugin, as instructed on the
"Demo" webpage. The installation is simple and requires only a couple of clicks. These standard plugins are endorsed by Microsoft and Apple, and have no known security issues.
What if there is a problem with the webcast?
A: There can occasionally be a problem with a webcast. In particular, webcasting is dependent on a reliable internet connection, both from the site of the webcast and into the computers of the audience. Problems resulting from the internet connection can range from a webcast that is occasionally jumpy, to a webcast that just doesn't work. The audience also needs to be sure to have the right computer set up and internet connection to be able to watch the webcast, which you can verify beforehand by going to the
"Demo" webpage and following the instructions there. If you can watch the demo, you should be able to view the webcast itself, if your internet connection is stable.
If the webcast doesn't work, the price of the webcast is of course completely refundable.
